trials and testing
We recognise that every Client will have their own materials and formulations and that these may respond differently to HSM processing.
Watson Brown will carry out small scale trials on your materials to verify the process and characterise the operating parameters.
For the in-house recycling of materials, two scales of trial are typically carried out:
characterisation trials
Small scale trials usually performed on a bench-top machine. Sample sizes range from 20g to 100g. (Usually 5kg of materials supplied by customer). Testing of mechanical and chemical properties can be carried out at this scale Sample materials and report sent to customerprocess trials
Laboratory scale trials usually performed on a 2 litre laboratory machine. Sample sizes range from 1kg to 20g. Testing of mechanical and chemical properties can be carried out. Process trials carried out at Customer site to ensureFurther large scale trials can be carried out to ensure full process acceptability, usually based on materials generated by a 20 litre HSM system.
For application trials, suitable applications are manufactured and tested to suit.
Dependant on the nature, magnitude and priority of the trials, a small charge to cover direct costs may be requested.
Watson Brown has carried out a number of trials on customer materials. Information on these trials and their results cannot be distributed due to the confidential nature of the information that they contain. A limited set of results generated by Watson Brown and third parties is available to registered users of this website. These results include the results from:
