200 litre
200 litre HSM production systems
The largest of the batch production systems currently available, the 200 litre (1 tonne per hour) HSM incorporates a number of features such as:
bulletsimple, compact and robust design
bulletnew high performance 3rd generation machine geometry
bulletcomputerised control and monitoring during the cycle
bulletself discharging
bulletfully integratable into product line.

Economic modelling of the 200 litre system indicates that it is particularly suited to high volumes of end of life product materials such as used tyres and large scale product lines.  The low average processing costs at this scale ensure good economic margins, even for relatively low value materials.

Given the high throughputs of mixed end of life product, processed materials are typically non homogeneous with correspondingly average performances.  Down cycled products can be made from 100% HSM processed (therefore recycled) materials and demand low to medium material performance, such as smooth surfaces, tensile strengths of up to 14 MPa, 300 to 400% extension at break and medium to good chemical resistance.

In general, the higher the specification required, the lower the throughput rates of the line up to the limits set by the performance of the feedstock.

A number of product lines have been developed, based on pressing and continuous curing techniques.  These lines are product specific and are therefore developed to meet specific customer requirements.
More information on the 200 litre HSM production system and applications is available.
